Group Calving Season Photography Safari

Ndutu + Southern Serengeti

9 Days, 8 Nights

9th Feb 2026 - 17th Feb 2026

The Calving Season group safari takes place in Ndutu and Southern Serengeti between January and March. It gives us a chance to witness incredible wildlife behaviour between predators and prey as around 8000 baby Wildebeest are born each day as well as baby Zebras.

Driven by instinct, the herds of Wildebeest, Zebras and Gazelle head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to give birth and begin the Great Migration circuit.

It truly is a photographer's dream and on most wildlife photographers' bucket lists as you photograph calves amongst the lush green grass due to recent short rains and opportunistic predators like Lions, Cheetahs and Leopards. It's perfect for getting rare and unique pictures of behavioural interactions.
