The Photographers Safari Ltd acts as a sales agent for Katikati Tours & Safaris (“the Operator”), the principal supplier of the safari packages offered through our website. By booking a safari with The Photographers Safari Ltd, you acknowledge that your contract is with the Operator, and all travel services are provided by them.
1. Booking & Confirmation
1.1 Bookings can be made via our website, email, or phone.
1.2 A deposit of 30% of the total booking price is required to secure your place.
1.3 The Photographer’s Safari Ltd will forward the Operator’s required 20% deposit immediately upon receipt of your payment.
1.4 A booking is considered confirmed once the deposit is received by The Photographer’s Safari Ltd and the Operator issues a booking confirmation.
2. Final Payment
2.1 The remaining 70% balance is due 90 days before departure.
2.2 The Photographer’s Safari Ltd will forward the Operator’s final payment according to their schedule (typically 14 days before arrival).
2.3 Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation, and the deposit may be retained in line with the Operator’s policy.
3. Cancellations
1. If you need to cancel your booking, written notice via email is required.
2. The Operator’s cancellation charges are applied based on how far in advance the cancellation is made:
More than 61 days before arrival: 30% of the total invoice (deposit retained).
Between 60 and 31 days before arrival: 50% of the total invoice.
30 days or less before arrival: 100% of the total invoice.
3. Additional cancellation fees imposed by lodges or other suppliers may be added.
4. No refunds will be given for late arrivals or no-shows.
5. In cases of serious emergencies (death or hospitalization), with reasonable proof, the Operator may waive charges beyond the deposit.
4. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover:
Trip cancellation
Medical emergencies
Evacuation
Loss or theft of equipment
5. Client Responsibilities
5.1 You are responsible for:
Ensuring your passport and visas are valid.
Vaccinations or health requirements.
Personal safety and equipment care.
5.2 Any special requirements (dietary, mobility, photography gear) should be communicated at the time of booking.
6. Liability
6.1 The Photographer’s Safari Ltd acts only as a sales agent. Liability for travel services rests with the Operator.
6.2 We are not liable for:
Delays, cancellations, or changes made by the Operator or suppliers
Loss, theft, or damage of personal property
Injuries or illness during the safari
6.3 By booking, you accept these risks and release The Photographer’s Safari Ltd from any claims beyond reasonable negligence in our agent role.
7. Changes to Itineraries
7.1 While we may suggest minor itinerary modifications for photography purposes, all final arrangements are made and confirmed by the Operator.
7.2 Significant changes by the Operator (e.g., lodge closure, route adjustment) will be communicated promptly, and alternatives offered where possible.
8. Photography & Content
8.1 Guests may photograph wildlife and scenery; please respect park rules, wildlife, and guides.
8.2 By joining the safari, you consent to The Photographer’s Safari Ltd using images/videos for marketing, unless a prior written request for exclusion is received.
9. Force Majeure
Neither The Photographer’s Safari Ltd nor the Operator are responsible for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by events outside reasonable control, including:
Natural disasters
Political unrest
Pandemics
Transport strikes
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by UK law, and any disputes shall be resolved in UK courts.
