Refund Policy

Last updated: 25/09/2025

At The Photographer’s Safari Ltd, we act as a sales agent for Katikati Tours & Safaris (“the Operator”), who is the principal supplier of your safari. All bookings are made directly with the Operator, and your contract will be with them. The following outlines how deposits, payments, and refunds are handled.

1. Deposits

  • A deposit of 30% of the total booking price is required to secure your place on the safari.

  • This deposit is non-refundable, in line with the Operator’s policy, except in cases of serious emergencies (see Section 4).

  • The Photographer’s Safari Ltd passes the Operator’s required 20% deposit to them immediately upon receipt of your payment.

2. Final Balance

  • The remaining 70% balance is due 90 days before departure.

  • The Photographer’s Safari Ltd will forward the Operator’s final payment according to their schedule (typically 14 days before arrival).

3. Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, written notice by email is required. The Operator’s cancellation charges apply as follows:

Time Before ArrivalCancellation ChargeMore than 61 days30% of total invoice (deposit retained)60–31 days50% of total invoice30 days or less100% of total invoice

  • Additional cancellation fees imposed by lodges or other suppliers may be added to the above charges.

  • No refunds will be given for late arrivals or no-shows.

4. Refund Method

  • Any approved refunds will be processed via your original payment method (e.g. Stripe).

  • Refunds will be calculated based on the total amount received by The Photographer’s Safari Ltd on behalf of the Operator.

5. Emergencies and Exceptions

In cases of serious emergencies (death or hospitalization of a traveller), with reasonable proof, the Operator will not require payment beyond the deposit.

6. Force Majeure

Neither The Photographer’s Safari Ltd nor the Operator are responsible for refunds due to cancellations outside our control (including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or political unrest).

We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover such risks.
